That's what I'm doing of course, but it is an accident waiting to happen. If I lose the list in some way, I'm screwed as it stands now and my customer data is inaccessible.
Oh there doesn't seem a good way to backup the entire datastore at this point if your data contains namespaces. The only option appears to be per kind, per namespace. The statistic that the bulk loader uses for downloading all entities is only available in the default namespace, so that won't fly if you have multiple namespaces, maybe with different entities in a namespace.
