Hi Robert, Thanks for your answer; So if I understand correctly, this is what you do when writing an app that needs some periodical database maintenance;
Say for example we have an e-commerce store and the shoppingcarts are stored in BigTable. What I'd need to do cleaning up an abandoned shoppingcart, is write a planned script (or execute on some trigger) that will look for any shoppingcarts where the user has left the site, say, more than a day ago and delete the corresponding objects. That's do-able. It's probably because coming from RDBMS development I'm used spending quite some time in a database management tool to check if data is correctly inserted/deleted/updated.
