Does all your data disappear? If so, then you have deleted local_db.bin
correctly. Can you post any code showing how you create the entity? If
you're using JDO/JPA, can you post the entity itself as well?

One good test to run: use the low-level API and call getProperties() on the
entities. You'll want to see if the property is showing up as a key in the
Map that is returned.
