I have my reverse proxy on Amazon's EC2. For me, the scalability of reverse
proxy doesn't belong to the same league of the scalability of underlying app
on GAE. I can launch a new same EC2 reverse proxy instance and put load
balance in front of them, all from its control panel, without any coding.

Of course, I am all ears to better solutions.
