Also the Click path to add an AppEngine App sucks. I'm a smart guy and I was ready to call support before finding the "add more services" button as there are like 6 buttons on the dashboard for adding apps, and "Setup" that has "Choose your Apps" "Setup other Apps" and "Add marketplace apps" all fail to add AppEngine Apps.
Just saying the new UI Sucks, Even the "Verify your Domain" wizard is now hidden. I know you have to web 2.0 the buttons when you add a fee, but couldn't someone have done some usability testing? I know. Google doesn't do that, cause we all just learn to think like the engineer who wrote the code. but this one apparently got hit with a bunch of marketing, and the genetic mix gave it the worst traits of each rather than some happy middle ground. I went to add a domain to one of my apps and the minimum you can spend on Google Apps For Domains is $50. Considering I won't be using any of Google's Apps this seems a bit steep. I thought maybe I could sign up with "0" users but that doesn't work. I realize that $50 against a Large Spend is not a big deal, but considering several of my apps I would like to have run against .net .com .tv .info .biz all with the same deployed app. suddenly my app costs an extra $250 a year. That keeps the Bozo's out, but seems a bit unfair since with any other provider I could just add a stack of "Parked" domains in my cpanel and be off to the races at no extra charge. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google App Engine" group.
