we generally only post to the DTN list... posting here became optional
when that additional group was created. however as per the discussion
b/w stephen and ikai, we'll X-post it here to the general group (but
not necessarily the individual language runtime groups).

we hope to, moving forward, continue to reduce the total number of
read-only periods and optimistically want to remove them altogether.
with that, we continue to recommend you use the HR datastore for your
apps and move away from Master/Slave.
