I've partially answered my own question: "The "Metadata" property type represents space consumed by storing properties inside an entry that is not used by the properties directly."
But I don't quite follow what this means? The entity that has the most meta data consists of several booleans, between 2 and 3 keys, a list of up to 60 Strings and an accompanying list of up to 13 Strings, and it is a child of a parent entity.
