Considering the fate of Greg's previous project (Google Wave), this doesn't
sound reassuring at all :(

The prices for additional instances are quite frankly ridiculous. I can buy
a 2 times more powerful VPS for 1/5 the price of a GAE instance. There is
zero justification for charging so much.

One thing is certain for me - if the new billing comes without enabling some
form of Python multithreading, I'm definitely out. And even if Python
multithreading comes in some form, it will be pseudo-concurrency at best,
because of the GIL. Unless they lock Guido in a dark room until he removes
the GIL from CPython 2.7, which is highly unlikely.

Disappointed regards,
Peter
