Is this App Engine related? If it's hosted on App Engine (*.appspot.com), just change the URL of the gadget to https instead of http and it should serve.
Otherwise, you'll need to ask the developer of the gadget to provide an HTTPS URL (you're also in the wrong forum but this question was easy enough to answer).
