Have you tried configuring your Max Idle Instances to 1, and see how that affects your estimated bill? If you read around this forum, there have been many others that were shocked by the increase in the estimated bill, but have managed to bring it down to reasonable levels by optimizing their code (especially Datastore usage) and adjusting the Max Idle Instance.
