Hi Niklas, Google's own (Apps) redirection servers at addresses 216.239.36.21, 216.239.38.21, 216.239.32.21, 216.239.34.21 work exactly as you said. But that's just the problem. I'm currently using those and therefore my url redirection service is suffering a bit.
To fix the issue simply send your naked domain @ A record to IP 174.129.25.170 instead of Google Apps IP addresses (or cname). Then everything will work as you requested. Service is provided by http://wwwizer.com/ P.S. Also check out http://9ox.net/ (DNS update is right now pending, but it will be eventually updated.)
