I'm also in Germany (though I don't think this matters) and I'm seeing my instances get killed very quickly and every request turns into a slow-ish cold-start. Maybe you're seeing the same problem?
If so, this is definitely something that happens and will eventually pass, hopefully before too many users get pissed off and go to facebook instead.
