As someone that uses partychapp every day (it's my "campfire"), I'm actually really sad about this move. I'm disappointed that some parts of GAE are wildly overpriced and create annoying "non-features".
Fortunately it's fairly easy (and getting easier all the time) to set up these extra services elsewhere in the cloud.
