Robert and I and others were working on the Google Certified Developer program for App Engine but that got put on hold. I would love to see that picked back up at some point. We put a lot of time into that. It would need updated since so much has changed, but I do think it would boost the community. It wasn't just the exam, it also required contributing to the App Engine community.
