Hi Shawn, Setup a file you'd like to benchmark against and I'll pull it down a few times (I'm near Chicago). I've seen services monitoring App Engine, but not sure I've seen any monitor time to fetch Xkb of data.
Static files can be cached on front-ends closer to the users, which can impact load times (in a good way).
