Okay, at least with this thread, it seems like the common thread is that
the applications are master/slave applications. We're going to try to tweak
a few things on our end to lessen the pain, but pay attention to the
downtime-notify@ list (
https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!forum/google-appengine-downtime-notify).
We may announce another maintenance soon as a slightly longer-term fix
(while the real long term fix is on its way).

I'm going to switch to take a look at some of the issues with error code
20x - those seem to be impacting the High Replication applications as well.
