This is particularly relevant because I'm building the backend for
what is essentially a Draw Something clone right now as a side
project.  And you know what?  It's really stupidly easy (basically a
few days of work) to build a system that scales to any amount of
traffic.

GAE may have its faults, but this kind of scaling problem is basically
solved.  It sucks to laugh at other people... but... I'm laughing.
