 experimental Search API quotas
Christina Ilvento <[email protected]> Aug 28 10:34AM -0700

Do you use the experimental App Engine Search
API<http://developers.google.com/appengine/docs/python/search>in your
application? Interested in trying it out but can't run your service
within the experimental quota? We'll be granting a limited number of Search
API quota increases to allow developers to test the API with larger indexes
or increased traffic. If you're interested in a quota increase, please fill
out our request
form<https://docs.google.com/a/google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dFFJUi1GUW1mVGpOQllJUjBUOUVJUUE6MQ#gid=0>

.

Regards,
Christina Ilvento, Product Manager for the App Engine Search API

Carl Schroeder <[email protected]> Aug 28 11:33AM -0700

I filled one out a while back and got no reply. Do I need to fill out
another? Was my previous request denied? Or are you only now considering
requests for quota increases?

Hi Theis,

Have you submitted a mail quota bump
request<https://docs.google.com/a/google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dENESzEwNzJiZEdpQkRzTl9RNElVWUE6MQ#gid=0>

?

 Services in App Engine
YulianaGH <[email protected]> Aug 28 09:38AM -0700

use a web service, for example in the IIS of windows, as the amount that
service on app engine?

thanks

You need to reduce the number of files!

You might be able to filter some out....

https://developers.google.com/appengine/docs/java/config/appconfig#Including_and_Excluding_Files

that dont actully need to be deplyed.

 JPA 2: About the “api” property in target “enhance_war”
roberto_sc <[email protected]> Aug 28 08:03AM -0700

The GAE documentation for JPA 2.0 states that the target enhance_war
for the ant file should be this:

<target name="datanucleusenhance" depends="compile"
description="Performs enhancement on compiled data classes.">
<enhance_war war="war">
<args>
<arg value="-enhancerVersion"/>
<arg value="v2"/>
</args>
</enhance_war>

However, we can find this on ant-macros.xml:

<attribute name="api" description="persistence api, JDO or JPA"
default="JDO"/>

Is that correct, i.e., we are not supposed to specify the JPA usage?

 Possible error in the documentation?
Guido van Rossum <[email protected]> Aug 27 02:06PM -0700

I'll just fix this. (If you already filed a bug tell me the URL.)

 orphaned app - no access - seriously
Mahron <[email protected]> Aug 27 01:42PM -0700

had a similar problem to johnP. When I move my domain to apps I was
stuck in a redirect loop when logging in. app id xehon has been
stranded for almost 2 years now. Poor thing, all alone, lost and still
running on master slave.

I really don't understand what is 'the same issue'. Can you elaborate a bit
more?
Have you tried deleting the cookies or tried with incognito window?
Can you try accessing https://appengine.google.com/a/securempresa.com?

Hi Takashi,

I tried everything. A lot of people have already reported this issue a
long time ago and nothing has been done. I have given up on that id.

What happened is, I created an google account with an email address
from a domain hosted by an other provider. Later I switched the domain
to google Apps. I suppose that when you do that it creates a conflict
between the apps user accounts and the google accounts, thus the
redirect loop.

Hi Mahron,

Well, do you still want to recover the account? If so, please let me know
your e-mail address in question.

No I don't need to recover the account. But I am curious, if you could
find out what happened to the app id : xehon, if it still exists and
if it is still attached some account. The email used was the one I am
using right now.

ajgomezlopez <[email protected]> Aug 28 03:19AM -0700

hi takashi.

I'm the admin of securempresa.com

I have some applications in gae with my partners.
In some of the gae apps i am the admin, but in others are my friends and i
am a developer.

My friends goeas out of securempresa.com, so i delete the accounts.

Now, there is no administrator in this apps. So i need to change my role to
admin in order to download code, etc.

Thx very much. =)

 Using Google Drive SDK with app engine.
Harrison Brock <[email protected]> Aug 27 06:36PM -0700

Hello,

I am trying to get a list of the newest 50 documents and display the name
of the files on an JSP page. Could someone point where I could find this
information ?

Thanks

 Search service design
Phil McDonnell <[email protected]> Aug 27 06:21PM -0700

I am integrating the Search service and I plan to initially push data into
the index that the search service creates. Is it correct to assume that
these indexes & other search components are created in the datastore or
some sort of backend? I'm trying to understand if it creates the search
data structure once per front-end server or once per app.

Thanks,
Phil
