Sept 15 2012 Using GoogleAppEngine launcher -- consistently fails to complete deployment
Remains in a seemingly interminable state of "Checking if deployment succeeded... Will check again in 60 seconds." Happen to notice when this occurs the Versions screen at appengine.google.com/deployment shows the 'Default' version selection cleared (wtf? no default!?) along with what seems to be the correct time that the update actually took effect. So, resetting the default manually and exiting the launcher is a work-around. ugh.
