First of all, sorry for the inconvenience.

It seems that it is happening to the users who have @googlemail.com address.
If you're ok with migrating it to @gmail.com, please do so, and I believe
the signup process will work correctly for you.

If you want to stick to @googlemail.com address, please wait for a fix.
I'll escalate it to the engineering team.

Since I don't have any @googlemail account, it is hard to reproduce this.
Can you tell me what is happening in detail(transition of the URLs, exact
error message, etc)?
