Hi Takashi,

So far we've tracked down the issue to CloudFlare. I spoke too early about 
the access to appspot.com - after the first few tests failed, we didn't see 
any more failures accessing appid.appspot.com. However, the route that goes 
through CloudFlare has about 50% of failures when accessed from Sweden and 
Netherlands. By the logs, the problem escalated 10/3. Not sure if it's 
solely CF's issue or something between Google and CF.
