It just feels like an update on GAE side went wrong.

There has been quite a few latency problems these last few weeks.

For example, this is the Java Dynamic Get latency page for october 16 :

Yesterday it suddenly improved around 4PM as you can see on the following 
diagram :

And then the crash.  But you can see that after the system restore, we are 
back to some higher latency than before, I guess Google rolled back the 
update :

Sadly, the update seemed to improve latency quite significantly.  Hoping 
will get a fix soon.
