My application dashboard shows a mysterious system reset (meaning no data 
prior to) about 8 hours ago.

Since then, instances are being shutdown after about 2 mins of no requests.

This new behavior negatively impacts our product.

Of course we've made no changes to our app settings over the past few 
months of smooth
operation, prior to this 'reset'.

What's going on?
