I'm seeing the same thing. :( It's been 6 hours now of latency averaging over 3 seconds when usually it's 300 milliseconds. The app engine status says everything is okay and there are no latency problems. I really hope someone is investigating this, some functionality of my app is broken because of these high latencies. (app id: sketch-club-hrd)
