the issue in this case is more that you guys are running code that's not yet in prerelease. I thought the way it worked was that you would put out a prerelease version that we could play with and at the same time, upgrade some apps/instances in production to see if there were any issues. in this case, 1.8.0 is not in prerelease so we have no way of testing locally if we wanted to.
if that's not how it works, perhaps it could be clarified.
