I checked /mapreduce/status, and found that yesterday, our mapreduce job has been running for 1+ day (see attached image).
In the AppEngine status page <https://code.google.com/status/appengine>, there was some issue with memcache on July 17 as well, and our mapreduce job uses memcache.
