I was surprised to have the dashboard graph greet me with lots of orange today, signaling quite a few problems. I checked the logs - no errors. Until I noticed that it apparently treats 404 (maybe even !200) as an error now. On backends, it shows 404 requests to /_ah/start/ as errors, even though that's perfectly normal. On frontends, most 404s are for missing apple-touch-icon.png and similar.
