Just an update ...
The logging errors stopped yesterday and today so far. Perhaps GAE fixed
the issue?
When the errors were occurring, sometimes I was also getting the 60 sec
deadline errors for pages which normally generated in less than 5 secs when
not cached. These problems are also gone now.
