Lots of urlfetch timeouts these last couple of days. 

1) Can Google do something to fix this recurring problem?  Last time, it 
was an upstream DNS issue.
2) If not, can't we get better error-handling, so our visitors aren't 
served a 500 page?

This really makes us look unprofessional.
