My apologies if this is posted twice - I thought I posted it once but can't
find it …

I want to quantify how activity on my MOOC<https://cs4hsrobots.appspot.com/>has
varied over time and I'm wondering if any of you can answer the
following question:
Short version:

Is the number of Frontend Instance Hours that my MOOC uses (as shown on my
daily app-engine usage report) directly proportional to the amount of
"activity" on my MOOC?

   - If so, can you help me understand what this quantity represents (so I
   believe your answer :-)
    - If not, is there some other easy-to-aquire data that I could use as a
   metric?

 Longer version

It's clear that people continue to use the site even though the course is
long over, and I want to try and get a feel for what's really going on. My
first thought is that maybe there's an easy way to do this by using my app
engine usage reports. Literally 99% of my usage charges are coming from the
Frontend Instance Hours that I use (in addition, I typically get charged a
couple of cents for Datastore Reads and PageSpeed Out Bandwidth).

But I don't understand exactly what each item on those reports actually
represents (I've tried reading over some of the app engine support pages,
like this
one<https://developers.google.com/appengine/docs/adminconsole/instances>,
but I still don't really understand what it's saying well enough to declare
that Frontend Instance Hours would be a good metric.)

If the number Frontend Instance Hours is actually proportional to the
usage, then that would give me a quick and easy way to figure out usage. If
it's not, then surely there must be some other easy way to figure this out
...

Thanks,
