GCE, thats of course easy to get the IP (or a hostname for CNAME) But wont help with AppEngine Directly. Although Persumably you can still use Cloud-DNS as the provider for the domain in Google Apps, Can't just use cloud-dns to CNAME your domain to ghs.googlehosted.com - *without *using Google Apps, because still needs to know the domain-to-appid mapping.
