You don't really 'grab control' of the domain, just verifying a trust
relationship.

Multiple Google Accounts an be verified on a single domain, and have WMT
access, so you wont be kicking them out of anything. And it wont AFAIK
create a new WMT access anyway, although could create it once verified on
the domain.

There arent all that many settings within WMT, and you have far more
control and power over their domain, because you would control the content
of the actual pages. So surely if they trust you to serve pages, they could
trust you with access to WMT.
