Think you will struggle doing this, as scraping Google's results violates Webmaster Guidelines: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/66357?hl=en, somewhere in the App Engines terms of service (which I'm less familiar with) there is a bit about breaking other Google Terms of Service I think.
It is a neat idea though, can see lots of interesting things you could try - like applying social metrics to the results. You'd just have to host it elsewhere.
