I am investigating a case where a number of users received the same e-mail message several times. This is on the e-mail subsystem of a GAE application that has been working fine for a very long time. I troubleshooted this down to the point where it seems I have evidence that Google called the /_ah/mail/... handler several times with the same message and this is the root cause of what the users complained about. I am also positive that my code handled the delivery each time correctly and returned a 200 code as it has been doing for a long time. I have never seen something like this before.
Has anybody else seen this, in particular in the period I indicate in the subject of this message?
