The App Engine Public Issue Tracker <https://code.google.com/p/googleappengine/issues/list> would be the correct place to post a feature request, and I've gone ahead and created such a thread for you <https://code.google.com/p/googleappengine/issues/detail?id=11991>. In future, please use that forum to make a feature request, while reserving this space for discussion which generally doesn't fit in the public issue tracker or stack overflow.
