If you've searched everywhere you can for a feature and can't identify that it exists, you should proceed to open a public issue tracker [1] feature request with enough detail to determine exactly what you'd like implemented (here the ability specify an alternate location for local_search.bin). If you would like to open a thread in this forum discussing the platform or services in more broad terms, starting a discussion that would be useful for other users to join in to, feel free to do so.
