Hi, I'm pretty sure you can actually get the email from an ID. As explained here <https://developers.google.com/+/web/api/rest/latest/people/get>, a "people:get" gives you all the info shown here <https://developers.google.com/+/web/api/rest/latest/people#resource>, which does contain emails. Maybe if the user didn't give permission for the email scope that won't work?
