Hello, Three years ago, I used XMPP with no problems in my GAE Java applications.
Now, I planned to use it again, but it seems that doesn't work. I'm not able neither to send or receive messages using a jabber client as destination. I have followed the Java documentation that can be found in https://cloud.google.com/appengine/docs/java/xmpp/ Google already included XMPP in its quotas and it is strange to me that it just simply doesn't work. Other people seemed to have the same problem some time ago: http://serverfault.com/questions/697953/xmpp-api-for-google-app-engine-connection-failure In addition, I'm not able to connect to the crowdguru.appspot.com application that could be used to test your jabber clients. Is this API still active? Am I missing something? Should I use another alternatives? In my scenario I want to communicate from GAE to a Java application. Channels seem to work only with javascript client, although I found also this link: http://masl.cis.gvsu.edu/2012/01/31/java-client-for-appengine-channels/ Best regards, Daniel. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google App Engine" group.
