Hey Lucas,

If the instance is on Compute Engine, you should see the recommendations in 
my first comment about using an HTTP(S) Load Balancer's IP address in the 
DNS records. You can also take a look at the documentation tutorial 
<https://cloud.google.com/compute/docs/tutorials/setting-up-lamp#setting-up-dns>
 
on setting up a LAMP server, since WordPress is basically LAMP. Let me know 
if you have any further questions after taking a look at these documents!
