As he also mentioned, this issue should be addressed in the next release. If when updating to an SDK version > *1.9.44*, you find that this error persists, please file a new defect report on the App Engine public issue tracker <https://code.google.com/p/googleappengine/issues/list>. We'll be happy to investigate this further at that time.
