I also recommend you take a look on Google’s User Authentication Options <https://cloud.google.com/appengine/docs/standard/java/oauth/> that will simplify your application’s login flow. The Users API, for example, uses App Engine's built-in Users API service to authenticate Google and Google Apps accounts.
