I leave more info, in case another person search by this :

The error I got when trying to deploy using appcfg.py was :

Error 400: --- begin server output ---

<h3>Client Error</h3><p>The request is invalid for an unspecified 
reason.</p>

--- end server output ---

And when trying to deploy using gcloud was :

File upload done.

Updating service [default]...failed.                                        
                                             

*ERROR:* (gcloud.app.deploy) Error Response: [13] An internal error 
occurred.

After triple checking my .yaml files and configs, I tried pretty much 
everything available online, but in my case it was the "Icon" file in a 
project directory!
I don't know how it got there, but after I searched and deleted the "Icon" 
file found, the issue was solved!
