I had added this to the bottom of another post but just moved it here so I 
can get a few different opinions:

I also see that Google offers Bitnami Launchpad for Google Cloud Platform

I have a php app that runs with mysql on my xampp fine. Why would I just 
not use Bitnami for GC instead of AppEngine? Is it the cost? The ability to 
handle many more users? Scalability? Or something else? This seems like the 
most direct way to get my app running on GC. But what do I lose by doing 
this?
