I understand you need the path to your App Engine Application, is that right? This Stackoverflow link <https://stackoverflow.com/questions/5050615/how-to-get-application-root-path-in-gae#answer-5061645> describes how to get application root path in GAE by putting a module in the root of your app. This module would store the result of os.path.dirname(__file__), then import that where needed.
