Stackdriver profiling for Python <https://cloud.google.com/profiler/docs/profiling-external> is currently not supported. However, as a workaround, you can use profiling outside Google Cloud Platform using the Profiler interface.
I filed this feature request <https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/116872303> and the Stackdriver engineering team will evaluate it. There is no ETA at the moment, so I suggest that you add your email to the thread to follow up on their progress.
