Can someone on the Google team pick this up? It turns out this is a crazy non-obvious gotcha to hit. It turns out my app.yaml had this:
- url: /.* script: auto secure: always and it should have been (no slash) - url: .* script: auto secure: always This change reduced our load times by 2 seconds per request.
