Hi. I'm setting up a new dev laptop, and I'm trying out the new python3 on AES. I connect to a Cloud SQL instance using the proxy and pymysql. On the Cloud SQL side I have 2 users: root, and me. I can execute queries directly from the local mysql command line on the laptop, using the proxy, with either user. >From my old laptop, that uses AES with python27 and MySQLdb, I can connect to this database with either user. >From the new laptop, using the proxy, python37 and pymysql, I can connect as root *but not as myself*. Logs on the console show that I am denied access but not much else. Anyone has an idea what's going on? Many thanks!
