Hi Alex, Thanks for your response. After further testing, I have the PHP sample working using the dsaprivkey.pem and dsapubkey.der generated in the steps listed at: http://code.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=71864&topic=12142 which seem to be the same as yours. The page hints though that you need to use the generated dsaprivkey.der file with the java sample which I assumed (apparently erroneously) the PHP sample would also need. Even if I changed the xmlsec command line to use --privkey-der instead of --privkey-pem, xmlsec still didn't like the private key. Apparently my installation of xmlsec doesn't like the generated .der file (FYI, it's Fedora 8 with the xmlsec1 rpm installed). Anyhow, that's one issue down. We're excited about Google Apps for our students and looking forward to making the switch! I'm sure I'll be back with more questions real soon though!
