We provision our users with their usernames (abbrevation of name + number such as "jms18"), which gives them the email address of the form "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" We then provision a nickname with each account -- the user's first name + last name (separated by a period) e.g. [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Many of our users prefer to send mail as their [EMAIL PROTECTED] email address. This wasn't settable via the provisioning API (who to send mail as: their provisioned username or one of their nicknames), so we instructed our users to go to "Settings" > "Accounts" > "Send mail as" > and then choose their [EMAIL PROTECTED] to send as. However, it no longer appears that users' provisioned nicknames appear as an option to send mail as. Was this a change that was made? Did an odd bug creep in that prevents this?
