We're using Google Apps (educational) and need to show the user the subject lines of his new messages, and we've encountered a lot of problems in doing this. Though RSS feeds work for global @gmail users, apparently the basic auth for the feeds doesn't work for Google Apps for user's domain. The next thing we tried is IMAP, but apparently each and every user needs to enable IMAP by hand, instead of us doing it globally for all users. Is there a way around this?
